About
NoMoreA Racing
The
NoMoreA project was the brain child of Bill Ryan at Supercross BMX.
Having completed the limited run of Azusa frames for Todd Britton,
there was still an expressed demand for more frames. Since the tooling
was already paid for, and sitting idle, why not modify it slightly
and offer a frame based on another highly sought after scoot of
the day ...the Nomura.
This was a logical concept considering the original
Nomura's were nothing more than a beefed up JMC DY made of alloy
instead of chromoly. All that was basically needed to pull off the
project was finding 3" rounded box tubung and making slight
adjustments to the tooling ...and of course ...a group of buyers.
The second part is another story, but Bill forged
ahead and created a short run, in three sizes, of the most well
crafted, beautifully welded, looptail aluminum creations the BMX
world has ever witnessed. Since these frames were Nomura replicas,
and because there were going to be No More Azusa's built, the name
NoMoreA was a keeper.
As
with all of Bill's creations, this bike was built to race and not
collect dust as a conversation piece. However, if you are lucky
enough to have one of these beauties in your posession, it would
probably bring a tear to your eye to build one up and race it. Only
twenty-five 20" frames, twenty-five 24" frames, and a
handful of 26" frames were built.
